Sub-user permissions — how do I let a bookkeeper only see reports?

Asked by Marcus T. · 7/3/2026, 9:49:12 AM

Want to give our bookkeeper access to run reports but NOT to void/refund or change settings.

USAePay has granular per-user permissions:

  1. Settings → Users → Add User (or edit existing)
  2. Under Permissions, uncheck: Void Transactions, Refund Transactions, Manage Settings, Manage Users, Add/Edit Customers
  3. Leave checked: View Transactions, Run Reports, Export Data
  4. Save

Also set a spending / refund limit to $0 for that user as a belt-and-suspenders control — even if a permission is accidentally granted, they can't move money.

The user gets an email invite to set their own password. Enforce 2FA on all sub-users under Settings → Security → Require 2FA for all users.
